Jessica Somers

Jessica Somers is an Indigenous artist from the Odanak Abenaki First Nation, born in northern Ontario. While with the Native Women’s Association of Canada, she developed an art program for Indigenous women as Manager of Arts. Known for her murals in northern Ontario, her artwork is featured in trading posts and gift shops, including with Manitobah Mukluks. Jessica collaborates with organizations and school boards, educating through art and cultural teachings. She lives on Lake Nipissing in northern Ontario with her husband Steve and daughter Jayde.
